New Farnley CC Website - http://www.newfarnley.cc/
Formed in 1952 the club played on several grounds in New Farnley before
putting its roots down in Farnley Park and joining the Dales Council Cricket
League. It soon become an established club and is now the most successful club
in the league. The club soon become two teams, and now three teams in the
league.
In 1995 it moved its main ground to a farmer's field owned by Leeds City
Council on Lawns Lane and built its Club House. The club, whilst keeping its
pitches on Farnley Park for its third and fourth teams also joined the Central
Yorkshire League for its first and second teams. Meanwhile a team from the
Beulah Pub also joined the club and helped fill these teams.
Since then we have added further teams including the Leeds Ladies who are a
Women's Premier Team and Richard Good, Andrew Simpson and Kenneth Irwin have
added five junior teams.
This is the story so far . . .
