East Bierley 2^nd XI are crowned as champions once again

"East Bierley have retained their JCT 600 Bradford League Second Teams Division One title with three games still to go.

They defeated Yeadon by 136-runs to collect 19 points and though second-placed Esholt went one better and gained a 20-point maximum for a 184-run win over Spen Victoria, they are 72 points clear at the top.

Thomas Owens (91) and Scott Douglas (58) provided the bulk of East Bierley's score of 222 all out. Will Darby was the pick of the Yeadon bowlers with six for 68.

In reply, Yeadon were dismissed for 86 as Chris Brook took three for 22 and Paul Ellis (3-20)."
